RECORD IB RESULTS AT INSPIRED SCHOOLS IN THE TOUGHEST OF YEARS

15 July 2020

Students from Inspired Education Group across the globe have achieved record IB results and have gained access to the best universities in the world, despite the extraordinary circumstances triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic. Inspired’s online, live and continuous e-learning system stepped in seamlessly for IB Diploma students in Europe, Asia and Latin America, ensuring their learning was uninterrupted and their ambitions and University aspirations undiminished.

London, July 15th 2020

The IB Diploma results released this week have risen to record levels in the Inspired premium schools across the world: 8 of the 15 Inspired IB World schools achieved the highest IB results on their history and 55 students achieved 40 points or higher, placing them in the top 9% highest performing students in the world. With average scores way exceeding the 29.9 points global average, these outstanding results are even more impressive considering the unexpected events that IB students and teachers had to face in the third term of the 2020 academic year, in which they had to transition to an unprecedented “virtual school life”.

This year, more than 500 students from Inspired schools were preparing for their final exams and beginning the process for admission into some of the best universities in world when the global pandemic occurred. Thanks to the online, live and continuous e-learning system provided by Inspired, coupled with the amazing resilience of students, inspirational education and strong support of their teachers, they have been able go on with their studies, overcome the demanding university application process and gain access to their first choice university.

Inspired’s founder and CEO, Nadim Nsouli, proudly reflects “we are dedicated to excellence in every aspect of our Inspired schools; nothing matters more than delivering the best education to our students, and our IB results this year show that excellence in action again, whatever the challenges our students and teachers have faced. We are proud of each of our students’ outstanding achievements this year and that they are heading off to the world’s leading Universities in a year of such uncertainty.”

School’s highlights on this year’s results include:

  • Students have been accepted into leading world Universities such as University of Oxford, King’s College London, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and Colombia, among others.
  • The top score of 44 points (out of 45) of this years Inspired’s cohort was achieved by a student of International School of Milan.
  • In Italy, St Louis School Archinto achieved 36.5 average point score, giving it an exceptional 6 year average of 36.4, the highest in Continental Europe. In the International School of Modena, the average point score rose to an impressive 36.7, the highest average score in the group.
  • In Spain, Sotogrande International School, Colegio San Patricio El Soto, International School San Patricio Toledo and Colegio Mirabal, achieved the best average scores in the history of each school.
  • In Switzerland, St. George's International School also broke the school’s record with an average score of 34.

“To achieve record IB results in these circumstances is testimony to the strength of the core academic curriculum in Inspired schools, the superb subject knowledge, innovation and dedication of our IB teachers and the depth of learning character exemplified by our IB students. The IB learner profile aligns closely with Inspired’s ethos and beliefs, preparing students intellectually, personally, socially and emotionally to flourish at University and beyond. Students have never been asked to dig so deep into this character as they have this year – with 53 Inspired students achieving the platinum standard 40+ points - they each deserve the great successes they have achieved”, comments Nicholas Wergan, Global Education Director for Inspired Education Group.
