 ROLE SUMMARY & JOB PURPOSE  

 This role will be responsible for the global HR operations system (SaP), data and insight and HR team processes. With SaP launched into the business less than 2 years ago, there is a significant opportunity to enhance the integration of the system to enable the full commercial and operational benefit across multiple countries. This role will be critical for being the relationship owner with SaP on behalf of Inspired as well as any global integration partners.

 The individual will also be experienced in the development of HR practices and processes; able to spot and implement value add opportunities through process steps and policy enhancements by looking across schools and regions. As the business grows, efficiency, automation and insight will become more critical which puts this individual at the heart of the people strategy. This person will be proactively driving employee-centric insight to key business users in order to help drive better strategic decisions. This individual in this role is expected to be very hands on, supporting the resolution of 1st line system queries as well as working with local HR teams strategically to map out processes and improve long term value and ROI.

 ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

 This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage the global HR system and tools, specifically SAP- maintaining and improving all functionalities, implementing new features and systems
  • Working as part of a global HR team, build a deep understanding of local people opportunities and strategies to ensure SuccessFactors is fully optimized and adding value in 22 countries for the business users and HR teams
  • Building a process library for all HRIS and non-HRIS processes to ensure the HRIS is fully embedded in all core people processes across 22 countries and future-proofed and opportunities for best practice or simplification have been explored
  • Finding opportunities to support HR teams to put into place processes to ensure key HR steps are documented and regularly reviewed
  • Ensuring data in the system is accurate and up to date at all times through frequent audit
  • Driving efficiencies through the optimization of the HRIS through process changes or integrations, grounded in commercial rationale
  • Serve as first point of contact for all HR technology related queries for all regional support teams and being able to resolve first line system issues
  • Establish effective data and reporting measures which inform and drive recommendations for by delivering meaningful insights to the business on all HR metrics (including attrition, headcount, costs, engagement, compensation)
  • Provide training to employees on the HR system and processes and the available technology used by the HR team
  • Proactively advise and work with relevant stakeholders on HR technology and process optimization including the introduction of new modules or partnerships with additional technology providers
  • Maintain and improve current onboarding system and process globally in order to ensure data accuracy
  • Work closely with finance and IT to ensure the HRIS is delivering on operational requirements and cost effective

We are looking for a highly organised, committed and experienced Human Resources Administrator to join us in a fast-paced environment, with a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills. The successful candidate will support the Northern Europe HR Manager in the provision of a high-quality, efficient HR service. The Human Resources Administrator will work flexibly across the UK sites (London and Wokingham), as necessary. They will also have a genuine desire to work in the Education sector.

 ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Principle Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Support the recruitment of academic and non-academic staff.
  • Place vacancy advertisements and respond to communications from candidates.
  • Ensure the school websites provides accurate information on vacancies and that relevant documents on the vacancies page are up to date by liaising with the Northern Europe HR Manager.
  • Track applications, prepare shortlisting packs and invite candidates for interview.
  • Apply for references and make follow-up calls to referees.
  • Produce and issue interview programmes and individual interview timetables for all staff involved in the process.
  • Make any necessary arrangements for candidates such as visitor parking, school tours, lunches, accommodation, and reimbursement of expenses as appropriate.
  • Support interview arrangements on the day, greet candidates and photocopy ID and other documents and oversee any practical tests or assessments.
  • Be responsible for checking and processing Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) applications.
  • Be responsible for the administration of new starter paperwork for the successful candidate.
  • Ensure all new staff are issued with appropriate induction and probation documentation.

Employee Records

  • Ensure that the Single Central Record of Staff is kept up to date at all times and in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice and Keeping Children Safe in Education.
  • Ensure that all other employee records in the school’s databases (iSAMS and SuccessFactors) are accurate and updated when required.
  • Update all staff files, both electronic and hard copy as required.
  • General filing and shredding.

Operational HR

  • Keep up to date with changes in employment law, guidance and best practice and inform as necessary.
  • Oversee the HR Information System, Success Factors.
  • Answer and deal with day-to-day enquiries (both internal and external) in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure the completion of new starter paperwork and set up new files.
  • Ensure the completion of leaver paperwork, arrange exit interviews and archive files as necessary.
  • Ensure all probationary periods are diarised and that confirmation letters are produced once probationary reviews have been undertaken by line managers.
  • Support the preparation of documentation for internally promoted staff.
  • Assist with other HR projects where required.
  • Administer absence requests including annual leave and special leave in line with school policy.
  • Administer the Return-to-Work process and produce absence reports as required.
  • Monitor staff absences and oversee referrals to Occupational Health.
  • Ensure that regular, consistent and timely information and instruction is given to the Northern Europe HR Manager.

THE role

Reddam House Berkshire is seeking to appoint a residential Department Lead for Languages to join us for four weeks of Summer Camp in the months of July and August.

The Summer Camp is new for 2022 at Reddam House Berkshire, and we are looking for exceptional staff to join us in setting up and running a fantastic summer programme for our students in its first year.

All lead staff and support staff members are expected to be residential on site throughout in order to join in with the full Summer Camp experience, however, there will be consideration given to non-residential members of staff for the right candidate.

The Summer Camp is running for 4 weeks during the summer in two-week blocks. Session 1 runs from Sunday 17th July to Saturday 30th July and Session 2 runs from Sunday 31st July to Saturday 13th August 2022. Ideally, we would like staff members to be consistent across both two-week blocks, and ideally to be resident with us for the full 4 weeks of Camp, however we would consider staff members who are only available for one of the 2-week blocks.

Residential staff members will be given rooms in the staff boarding house and will be expected to join in with boarding activitiesanddutiesonarotasystemthroughoutthe2-weekblock. Allstaffmemberswillworka6-dayweekwithonefull day /night off.

Boarding staff members will be given a private room in the boarding house alongside the residential students. Boarding responsibilities will include overnight duties as well as joining in with the evening activities and duties on a rota system. There is opportunity for the boarding staff members to also assist on one of the camp activities in the morning (Languages or Steam) or afternoon (Multi-Activity, Adventure or Performing Arts) but their responsibilities within the boarding house must take priority.

The Head of Boarding will be ‘on call’ but may not be resident in the boarding houses at all times.

Staff are expected to have a full DBS and it is preferable that they also hold a First Aid certificate of training.

ROLE SUMMARY & JOB PURPOSE

Reddam House Berkshire are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic staff to help lead, plan, coordinate, and oversee the overall camp programme with a focus on Languages. The role holder will be responsible for the pastoral care of the day and boarding students on camp, including health and safety, safeguarding and discipline. The successful candidate will be able to work independently with support from the Summer Camp Director and team.

This is a fixed term role required for the 4 weeks of camp with the inclusion of some preparation and training days in the run up to and during the camp. At the end of the contract, there will be one day of wash up / feedback required from camp staff.

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure excellent pastoral care of the day and boarding students on camp, including health and safety, safeguarding and discipline.

  • Take lead for activities and group management and staffing within the Languages element of the camp to meet the needs of the day.

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high quality, stimulating and interactive lessons. Specific for foreign language students.

  • Work with the Director to execute fun and engaging excursions / trips within the programme.

  • Assess the work of the students and correct misunderstandings.

  • Manage risks to an appropriate level during activities assisting with any risk assessments, as necessary.

  • Deal with any safety, child protection, timetabling or other issues of behaviour or participation that may arise.

  • Communicate any issues or problems to the Director.

  • Prepare a report for each camper at the end of their stay.

  • Share photos and videos daily on the secure online platform.

  • Record any first aid or health and safety issues and report to the medical lead.

  • Accurately record attendance and report to the Director.

  • Work alongside the boarding team.

  • Follow all boarding procedures correctly, for example: singing in and out, mealtime, bedtime, medications and night-time procedures.

  • Collaborate with the Head of Boarding and other staff during the camp.

  • Attend weekend activities when required.

  • Take part and assist planning of the evening activities schedule.

  • Be on call if there is an incident, fire, intruder or any other emergency.

  • Be responsible for pocket money collection and distribution.

  • Responsible for first aid and health issues for all campers, alongside Camp Director and Head of Boarding.

  • Ensure all documentation and medical items are collected ready for arrival / departure.

This role is residential, requiring at least 1 night a week overnight duty in the boarding house over a 6-day working week. This job description is not intended to be all embracing and the post holder shall be required to carry out any other duties as directed by their line manager, commensurate with training and experience. There is opportunity for the post holder to take on additional roles including Camp Photographer.

The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the School’s Safeguarding Policy (including Child Protection Procedures) at all times.

ROLE SUMMARY & JOB PURPOSE
To assist and support the teaching staff in the supervision and management of pupils throughout the academic year. The successful applicant will work closely with the Teaching Assistants and Administration team.

 
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

General Administrative Support

  • Supporting senior staff and Admin members with administrative tasks

  • Help prepare for lessons and events for timetabled classes

  • Assist where needed in registration and dismissal procedures

  • Assist in the assembly and maintenance of display boards in corridors and classrooms

  • Assist in preparing for assemblies, Class Assemblies, productions and Carol Concerts

  • Assist with data entry or analysis where asked

 

Learning Support

  • Support literacy and numeracy skills with small groups or general class support

  • At times the Gap Assistant may be asked to give one-to-one help in a class

  • When asked, help to mark or score pupils’ work

  • Taking initiative in the classroom to support the children’s needs as best as possible

  • Taking initiative to support the teacher in lesson delivery and classroom organisation/resources

  • Support specialist teaching staff in the preparation of resources /children’s books (Science & Art)

 

Sports Department

  • Support Head of Games in setting out equipment for sports/PE sessions

  • Play an active role in supporting teaching staff in the delivery of sports/PE sessions

  • Escort pupils on school; transport to swimming lessons at local pools, where timetabled

  • Assist with registration on sports/PE afternoons

  • Help to ensure correct medical kits are taken when off site

  • Attend during school hours, off site sports fixtures

  • If able, help to referee during fixtures against other schools

  • At all times support staff, encourage good behaviour for pupils and adhere to FS Good Behaviour Policy

 

Playground Responsibilities

  • Supervise various playtimes, remaining vigilant to ensure all pupils are happy and safe

  • If children are on their own encourage them to play with others and inform their Class Teacher

  • If any child sustains an injury, ensure they see the Primary First Aider

  • Report any poor/unacceptable behaviour to the Class Teacher of said child and to the Assistant Head

  • Assist with wet breaks – indoor supervision in classrooms or hall

  • Supervise the children lining up at the end of break

  • When required, supervise lunchtime in the dining room, ensuring each child has a complete and nutritious meal

 

General Responsibilities

  1. Be responsible to the Head of the Pre-Prep for all teaching duties and responsibilities.

  3. To plan appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils, through differentiation of tasks. (In accordance with *Differentiation Policy)

  4. To be able to set clear targets based on prior attainment, for pupils’ learning.

  5. To provide a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all pupils.

  6. Maintain order and good discipline among pupils and safeguard their health and safety. (In accordance with *Behaviour Management, Biting, Discipline, Anti-Bullying, Good Behaviour, Restraining & Intervention, and Safeguarding & Child Protection Policies)

  7. Keep school and homework marking up to date with positive comments and next steps clearly outlined. (In accordance with *Homework Policy)

  8. Undertake all other classroom duties, including out-of-school activities and outings, care of the environment and corridor/class displays effectively. (In accordance with *Display Policy)

  9. To take part in and contribute effectively towards weekly departmental and fortnightly staff meetings to discuss curriculum, pastoral, and other matters.
