Acquisition of the leading premium Bi-Lingual Schools in Brazil positions Inspired for Significant Expansion in the Region

LONDON and RIO DE JANEIRO – May 6th, 2022 – Inspired (www.inspirededu.com), the leading global group of premium schools operating in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, is proud to welcome the premier Brazil schools group, Eleva Global Schools including the Escola Eleva, Gurilandia, Batutinhas, and Leonardo Da Vinci schools, to the Inspired Education Group. Post-closing of the transaction, Escola Eleva Global Schools, which was part of the Eleva Educação Group, will be fully owned by Inspired. The Eleva Educação Group will be rebranded.

Escola Eleva Global Schools, which encompasses the schools operating under the Escola Eleva, Gurilandia, Batutinhas, and Leonardo da Vinci brands, consists of 7 premium schools and 2 early learning schools across Brazil. Eleva’s premium schools have set a new standard in premium bilingual education in Brazil.

Escola Eleva opened its first premium school, Escola Eleva Botafogo, in 2017 in Rio de Janeiro, reaching over 1000 students within 2 years of operations, and today is ranked amongst the best schools in the city. Offering a full-day bilingual curriculum, leading into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, Escola Eleva’s focus on Brazilian values and international best practices aligns closely with Inspired Education Group’s commitment to academic excellence and a holistic education.

Building on the success of their Rio de Janeiro Escola Eleva Botafogo, Escola Eleva opened new schools in Barra in 2019, Brasilia in 2021 and Recife in 2022. The acquisitions of Batutinhas’ 2 premium early learning schools in Rio in 2018, the Gurilandia premium Salvador school in 2020 (followed by the opening of a new campus on the other side of Salvador) and the acquisition of Leonardo da Vinci’s premium Vitoria school took the portfolio of Escola Eleva premium schools to their current market leading position.
