ACG COLLEGE STUDENTS ACHIEVE SPECTACULAR RESULTS IN THE RECENT A-LEVEL CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL EXAMINATIONS (CIE)

The Inspired schools ACG Parnell College, ACG Strathallan, ACG Sunderland and ACG Tauranga are now celebrating a year of exceptional academic accomplishment, with the best ever A-Level results in their history. New Zealand students join an outstanding set of graduates from all Inspired schools across the globe, who despite the challenges posed by the extraordinary circumstances triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic, also achieved record results this past summer.

Year 12 and 13 students from ACG Parnell College, ACG Strathallan, ACG Sunderland and ACG Tauranga, have excelled in their studies, despite a year filled with challenges and Covid-19 lockdowns. Undeterred by the transitions between physical campus and online learning, they have flourished under the guidance and support of ACG’s specialist educators and faculty. With a 100% pass rate, ACG students received record results:

29% A* grades
52% A*/A grades
90% A*/ C grades.

New Zealand students’ success adds to an outstanding year of record results in all Inspired schools across the globe. Students who sat A level examinations in 2020 in UK, Spain, Bahrain, Kenya, and Panama reported record results, widely exceeded UK national averages. In parallel, those who opt for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, accomplished average scores far exceeding the global average.

ACG Schools CEO, Clarence van der Wel, is delighted with this remarkable achievement level and is incredibly proud of how student learning continued uninterrupted throughout 2020. He commented:
